3 Day Toubkal Ascent

Toubkal Experience organises Toubkal Treks. We will take you from Marrakech to Imlil (1,780m), from whence we will climb for 6 hours out of the Imlil Valley and into the Azzadene Valley. You'll pass via Tizi N'Mzik (2,450m), the Azib n'Tansoult sanctuary, and the Ighouliden waterfalls on your way. Overnight in a 3,000-meter-high mountain retreat (or before at Azib n Tamsoult at 2250m). (We provide standard or premium lodging for Toubkal climbs.)

The 3,560m Aguelzim pass provides a difficult ascent out of the Azzadene Valley to the Toubkal base camp. Lunch will be provided with panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. Overnight in the Toubkal base camp (3207 m), where you'll share a bunk room with other hikers attempting Toubkal the next day, or spend the night in a tent to avoid the weather.

After breakfast, we'll climb Mt. Toubkal (4,167 m), from where you'll get amazing views of the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert if the clouds allow. We take the long way down, via the base camp, and back to Imlil on the well-trodden trail. This is a difficult day, requiring 8-9 hours of walking up 900 metres and then down almost 2,500 metres to Imlil. At 6 p.m., you will be dropped off at your hotel in Marrakech.
