5 Day South Morocco Desert Tour

We depart from your hotel at 8 am and begin 5 Day South Morocco Desert Tour through Ifrane, a winter ski resort built by the French in the 1930's to resemble a Swiss village. We reach the cedars forest in Azrou where you will watch the monkeys. We pass few Berber villages to reach Midelt, for a lunch. Then we continue towards Merzouga for adventure camel ride across the sandy dunes of the Erg Chebbi. Enjoy the beauty of the sunset on camel and spend night in a Berber tent. After a dinner, watch the stars and listen Berber songs.

After breakfast our 5 Day South Morocco Desert Tour continues and we will visit Rissani - the first capital of Alaouite dynasty ,including some historical kasbahs ,and the famous Market - souk. We explore Sahara desert dunes, passing through small villages, where we will listen to Gnawa music in El Khamlia. Overnight in local riad with dinner.

Today we ead to the oasis of Tinghir in the foothills of the High Atlas mountain range. We take a 1-hour walk along the Todgha River and admire lush palm trees and olive groves growing by the riverbanks. Visit Berber villages with your guide and learn of the locals’ traditional lifestyle, then head on to the magnificent Todgha Gorge for lunch. In the afternoon, drive along the ‘Road of 1000s kasbahs.’ Visit one of the region’s ancient kasbahs and gain insight into the role it has played in the region’s history, then head on to your hotel in Dades Gorges for dinner and your overnight.

Today we will drive through the Dades Valley past dramatic escarpments , we enjoy sand castles along this ancient caravan trading route. We visit Skoura, then Ouarzazate which has long been a popular location for Hollywood films such as The Last Temptation of Christ, Jewel of the Nile. Overnight in local riad with dinner.

After breakfast our last day of 5 Day South Morocco Desert Tour starts and we will visit the kasbah of Taourirt ,then famous Atlas Studios movie studios; which is the largest and most famous of all Africa. we will visit the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou , declared UNESCO World Heritage and which was the scene of films like The Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia,we continue passing through the High Atlas and the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, to Marrakech.
