7 Day Atlas & Desert Tour

We at Toubkal Experience organises Atlas trekking and Toubkal Treks. After airport arrival, we transfer you to your hotel, free program. Overnight in Marrakech city.

We depart from your hotel towards Imlil via Asni. We climb towards the foothills of the Massif , you reach Imlil from where we begin our trek, heading along the Mizane Valley, towards the village of Aremd and the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch , which attracts tourists and pilgrims alike. The village sits beside a small waterfall. From here the trail continues zigzagging up to the Toukbal base camp (3206m). Night at a base camp with dinner and breakfast.

Our 7 Day Atlas & Desert Tour continues and we walk to Jebel Toubkal (4165m); return to Imlil early this morning. From here, one can see the Marrakech Plain, High Atlas, Anti-Atlas, and Sahara. We next hike down the mountain and stay in Imlil, where supper and breakfast are provided.

Today we drive from Imlil over the Atlas Mountains, driving towards stunning Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass. You’ll pass through Berber villages, , we reach Ouarzazate and you may explore local Atlas Film Studios. We continue to Skoura, then we reach Dades Gorges, where you have the option for a hike, and relaxing in hotel. Overnight in Dades in kasbah with dinner.

7 Day Atlas & Desert Tour continues and we travel from the Dades Valley towards Todgha Gorge which is a massive fault dividing the High Atlas mountains, rising up 300 meters in a narrow valley with palmeries and Berber villages. Enjoy short hike before we’ll head towards the desert near Merzouga. At sunset, you’ll ride a camel for to reach a Berber camp where you will enjoy dinner, and sleep in tent at a Sahara desert camp

After wake up we watch desert sunrise and then we continue our 7 Day Atlas & Desert Tour by camel to village. After breakfast we leave the desert and we head towards Agdz and Ait Benhaddou which is an ancient fortified city containing countless kasbahs. Numerous Hollywood movies were filmed here including The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander, Lawrence of Arabia. Overnight in a riad.

Today we travel along the Ounilla Valley to the Telouet kasbah, a crumbling kasbah that was once an important stop for traders. We will explore the kasbah and then our 7 Day Atlas & Desert Tour takes us over the Tizi n'Tichka Pass to Marrakech. Spend a night at a hotel. End of tour next day, you reach the airport for your flight home.
