Itinerary
Day 1 :
ARRIVE IN MARRAKECH AND MAKE YOUR WAY TO YOUR HOTEL OR RIAD
We will pick you up at the airport and transport you to your Riad/Hotel. Enjoy your 12-Day Morocco Imperial Cities Tour.
Day 2 :
SPEND THE FULL DAY IN MARRAKECH WITH A LOCAL GUIDE.
On this full-day tour of Marrakech, you'll see the Menara, a pool encircled by flowerbeds that serves as a source of irrigation for the neighboring farmers. The sightseeing tour includes include stops at the Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace, and the Dar Si Said Palace Museum of Jewellery. Optional lunch in the medina will be followed by a tour around Marrakech's colorful souks. From the patio of a café, enjoy a sunset cocktail while facing the bustling Jamaa El Fna Square. Dinner and lodging will be provided by a hotel.
Day 3 :
MARRAKECH - AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE
After breakfast at your Riad, travel to Ouarzazate through the majestic Tizi Ntichka Pass and the world-famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. El Glaoui Ethami, the last Berber chieftain, constructed Ait Ben Haddou hamlet in the late nineteenth century. The Kasbah is a UNESCO designated historical monument that is still home to several Glaoui family members. After lunch, we will travel to Ouarzazate, known as "the Hollywood of Africa," where you will get the opportunity to see and view numerous props from films like as Gladiator and Alexander the Great. The overnight stay will be in a hotel in Ouarzazate. Stay the night at our Hotel/Riad.
Day 4 :
OUARZAZATE - MERZOUGA (ERG CHEBBI)
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on the road of a thousand Kasbahs to explore the original sights of Ouarzazate. We next proceed to Dades, a lovely and calm site with a series of Berber settlements along the route and the perfume of rose orchards within the valley. We'll traverse another lovely gorge, Todgha, the vast canyons of Morocco, not far from Dades. Then we continue our trip to Merzouga through Tinejdad, a gateway to the Tafilalet area. Continue on to Erfoud, arriving at Merzouga late in the afternoon. You'll check into your accommodation and enjoy dinner in local hotel.
Day 5 :
MERZOUGA (ERG CHEBBI SAHARA DESERT)
If you get up early, you may witness the most amazing dawn of your life. We'll drive a short distance to Potential Lake, which has a diversified bird population. From there, we'll travel to Khamlia to learn about the music and culture of the Gnaoua, who are descended from slaves transported to Morocco from Mali, Mauritania, Guinea, and Ghana. In the afternoon, we'll circle Erg Chebbi's sand dunes and explore the dark Hamada desert, where we'll meet some nomads and learn about nomadic life over a cup of cooling mint tea. Spend the night in a hotel.
Day 6 :
MERZOUGA CAMEL TREK & OVERNIGHT DESERT CAMP
It's time to go exploring after breakfast. One of the attractions of this 14-day tour from Casablanca is a visit to the desert. Your dromedary will be waiting for you at the end of the afternoon for a trip through the Erg Chebbi desert's beautiful sand sea. Of course, an expert guide will accompany you. After seeing the stunning sunset, you will be returned by 4 x 4 to our luxury tent camp in the Sahara Desert. You will spend the night here, dine, and have an amazing evening with traditional music and a bonfire.
Day 7 :
MERZOUGA, RISSANI, ERFOUD, ZIZ VALLEY, ERRACHIDIA, AND MIDELT.
In the morning, wake up to have the opportunity to climb the sand dunes and see a spectacular sunrise, then ride Camels back to the hotel for a shower and breakfast, then start the road to Fes passing Rachidia, Midelt, and Azro, see we stay here for overnight in a hotel or riad.
Day 8 :
TRAVEL TO FES IMPERIAL CITY VIA AZROU
In the morning, we will get up to visit Midelt and Azrou, see the monkeys, and then proceed to Ifrane, known as Morocco's Switzerland, to appreciate its beauty, take photographs, and then return to Fes. Overnight in Fes in a hotel or riad. Enjoy your 12-Day Morocco Imperial Cities Tour.
Day 9 :
FES SIGHTSEEING TOUR WITH A LOCAL GUIDE
After a peaceful breakfast, you will go through Morocco's oldest city with the help of a (local) guide. You travel through bustling alleyways and little streets. You will see the Royal Palace Gate and other cultural and historic sites in Fes. But there's also the Jewish neighborhood, which was the first Mellah established in Morocoo in the 16th century. The Al Qaraouine University is the region's oldest. And, of course, there are the well-known tanneries. You will go to a mosaic cooperative after lunch. Overnight accommodation based on bed and breakfast.
Day 10 :
FES - VOLUBILIS - MEKNES - RABAT
Today, our private Morocco trip will take us to Volubilis where you explore Unesco site, we visit Meknes, a former imperial city, where we will have a brief tour of the medina and other major sites. Then we travel to Rabat, Morocco's capital. We spend the night in a small hotel in Casablanca.
Day 11 :
RABAT - CASABLANCA - MARRAKECH
Visit Rabat's antique landscapes before continuing to Casablanca, then we travel to Marrakech. Overnight in local hotel.
Day 12 :
FREE DAY IN MARRAKECH
Last-minute shopping and packing in Marrakech/Departure from Marrakech to your airport, bringing our 12-day trip from Marrakech to an end.
