Mgoun Massif trekking is a great challenging trekking holiday in the central High Atlas Mountains. Our hiking and climbing Mgoun mountain begins from Ait Bougmez valley.

Day 1 :

MARRAKECH - AGOUTI

We at Toubkal Experience organises popular Atlas treks in Morocco. We depart from your hotel and we start our Atlas trek towards Agouti. Enjoy a day with amazing sights and in the evening you reach the local guesthouse with dinner.

Day 2 :

AGOUTI TO AROUS

Enjoy adventure trekking tour for most of the day and you will explore best places with local guide. We reach Arous camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 :

TREK TO TARKEDIT PLATEAU

Today we cross the Aghouri pass at 3,450 m , you will descend to the wind-eroded and snow-covered High plateau of Tarkedit (at 2,900 m). After having lunch we climb up to the southern side of the plateau and establish a camp at 3,400 m, directly below M'goun West (3,978m). 7-8 hours walking. Overnight in camp with dinner.

Day 4 :

ASCENT OF DJEBEL M'GOUN (4,068M) TO OULILIMT

Today we ascent to the summit of Djebel M'goun and then we climb above 4,000 m, which takes 4 - 5 hours to the summit. From the top, there will be an impressive view across the Draa Valley and we experience amazing view towards the Sahara Desert. Then you descend back to Azib Izabine. Enjoy total of 8-9 hours of trekking. Overnight in camp with dinner.

Day 5 :

ATLAS TREKKING

Enjoy adventure Atlas trek to the Valley into Ain Aflafal and we reach also Tighermet n Ait ahmed ( total of 5 hours walking). Overnight in comfortable camp with dinner.

Day 6 :

MARRAKECH

Today you will climb Tizi n'Ait Imi (at 2960m) then we descend to the Ait Bougmez Valley and after exploring the area we drive you back to Marrakech ,where our M’goun Atlas hike finishes. (We offer accommodation of your choice for Atlas treks : standard or luxury). End of Trek to Jebel Siroua and Safran valley with Toubkal Experience.
